Questions for Brandon!

Posted by: Action > |

Our own Brandon Martinez from Independent Printing Co. is going to be speaking at the GAA banquet on December 7th, discussing the transition between college and the workforce. If you guys have any questions for him about this topic, or anything else related to landing a job or being awesome, prepare them now. You’ll have the chance to ask him in person during the banquet, or you can fill out this form and we will make sure he covers it. They don’t call him Wikitinez for nothing.

Wish We Had More Equipment or Supplies in Our Printing Classes?

If you have any suggestions on equipment or supplies that our organization should attempt to get donated to us, please take 10 seconds to fill out this form and share your thoughts. As a student organization, we have the potential to come together and contact manufacturers and suppliers in an attempt to get free stuff. Go ahead, suggest anything, large or small, and we will consider any possibilities of bringing it into our department. Our professors have always done an incredible job of getting us what we need to learn, but in certain cases a group of motivated students may be able to be more effective.

Resume Workshop

We’re having our second resume workshop/peer resume review on Tuesday, October 26 @ 6:30 p.m. in Swan 218. If you plan on attending the job fair this semester (which is Thursday), or you just want to improve your resume, this will be helpful for you. Be there or be square.

Resume Workshops

With the job fair just over a week away, it is time that the GAA gathers together to discuss and critique each others resumes, and talk about the companies that will be waiting to talk to us. The job fair is an excellent opportunity for students to network with the industry leaders, whether you’re looking for a job or not. We expect that all members attend the job fair, so in preparation we ask that everyone attends at least one resume workshop that we will be holding in Swan 218 over the next two weeks. The first will be this Thursday, October 21 @ 6:30 p.m., and the second will be Tuesday, October 26 @ 6:30 p.m. If you plan on attending the Job fair, it is mandatory that you attend at least one of these workshops. If you have a resume, please bring it to share with others, and if you do not yet have a resume, bring an open mind and a notebook. Sharing and presenting any resources or ideas that you may have during the workshop is strongly encouraged.
