Skill­sUSA was a suc­cess!  The com­pe­ti­tion was held on Fri­day and Sat­ur­day, April 15–16.  17 con­tes­tants com­peted in the sec­ondary level, as well as 4 stu­dents in the post-secondary level.  Stu­dents were tested on their knowl­edge in pre­press, work­flow, press, bindery, pro­duc­tion plan­ning, and their over­all knowl­edge of printing.

EDSF is accept­ing schol­ar­ship appli­ca­tions for stu­dents pur­su­ing a career in the print­ing, graphic com­mu­ni­ca­tion and doc­u­ment man­age­ment indus­try. Movie Night — the Hangover

The GAA will be spon­sor­ing a movie night that is hap­pen­ing TONIGHT!  It will take place in SWAN 218 at 7:30PM.  We will be watch­ing The Hang­over, so be pre­pared to laugh and cry.

If you have snacks that you would like to bring, feel free to share them with the rest of the group (or not).

In case you haven’t heard, there is a Job Fair com­ing up this Thurs­day at Wink Arena from 11AM — 3PM.  There are going to be two com­pa­nies that are geared toward print­ing, Quad­Graph­ics and Con­sol­i­dated.  Talk to other com­pa­nies to see if the offer posi­tions in print­ing related departments.

Dress for suc­cess and bring your stu­dent ID with you to gain entrance.

Just want to remind every­one that there is a work­shop for resumes tomor­row.  This is an excel­lent oppor­tu­nity to make your resume shine.

It will start at 7PM and end no later than 9PM in SWAN 218.

Every­body in the print­ing pro­gram is wel­come to attend.

If this goes well, we will set up an inter­view work­shop before the job fair, which will be March 25th.

Help sup­port the Hait­ian Earth­quake Relief Effort by mak­ing a dona­tion.  Make all checks payable to: Amer­i­can Red Cross with a des­ig­na­tion for the Haiti Earth­quake Relief Fund and send or deliver dona­tions to:
