The Quad/Graphics corporate intern position in Milwaukee, WI has opened online. Polish up those résumés and apply here.
Quad/Graphics acquired Worldcolor in July of this year. As some of you may know there is a former World, now Quad, plant in Midland, MI. In the past, World took interns and Quad is continuing that tradition. Just to be clear, Quad is also offering positions in Milwaukee, however they have not opened the application process. If you need an internship and would like to apply visit this link to apply online. If you have any questions about the Quad/Graphics internship or internships in general give me a call or email me.
I just got off the phone with the fundraising people at Savory Foods. The plan is to do a fundraiser through the month of September. More to come.
We have only received four responses to the fundraising survey that was sent out on thursday. If you want to take it right now you can do so right here. Just take a few seconds to fill it out, we really want to be proactive in fundraising next semester.
Hey everybody. This year I’ll be focusing on raising funds for specific reasons rather than just because. Our trip to Chicago will be the goal of the Fundraising committee. Once we know the cost the committee will work on ways to pay for the trip. This way, with a goal in mind, we can better focus ourselves and ultimately raise more money for a trip. Each individual within the GAA is responsible for paying their way for the trip and my goal is to help as much as I can. This is a group effort, if we each do our own part we can make the GAA a great RSO.
This site is pretty radical. Not only does it feature beautiful design, it helps keep the print industry alive.
“Established in 2007 by Andrew Gibbs, The Dieline is dedicated to the progress of the package design industry and its practitioners, students and enthusiasts. Its purpose is to define and promote the world’s best examples of packaging, and provide a place where the package design community can review, critique and stay informed of the latest industry trends and design projects being created in the field.”
The next time someone tell you print is dead, just guide them to the nearest grocery store.
Hey everybody, if you’re in need of an internship this summer it’s never too early to start looking. The GAA has many connections with people in the industry, and ways to help you land the internship you want. Here is another resource that you can use to find companies and learn about internship requirements. Its a snazzy page put together by Conati thats rather difficult to get to, but here’s a link to make it easy:
Again, it’s never too early to start looking.
The GAA will be starting a new cookie dough fundraiser next week. More details to come, be on the lookout for order forms and information.
