The Quad/Graphics cor­po­rate intern posi­tion in Mil­wau­kee, WI has opened online. Pol­ish up those résumés and apply here.

Quad/Graphics acquired World­color in July of this year. As some of you may know there is a for­mer World, now Quad, plant in Mid­land, MI. In the past, World took interns and Quad is con­tin­u­ing that tra­di­tion. Just to be clear, Quad is also offer­ing posi­tions in Mil­wau­kee, how­ever they have not opened the appli­ca­tion process. I just got off the phone with the fundrais­ing peo­ple at Savory Foods. The plan is to do a fundraiser through the month of Sep­tem­ber. More to come.

We have only received four responses to the fundrais­ing sur­vey that was sent out on thurs­day. If you want to take it right now you can do so right here. Just take a few sec­onds to fill it out, we really want to be proac­tive in fundrais­ing next semester.

Hey every­body. This year I’ll be focus­ing on rais­ing funds for spe­cific rea­sons rather than just because. Our trip to Chicago will be the goal of the Fundrais­ing com­mit­tee. Once we know the cost the com­mit­tee will work on ways to pay for the trip. This way, with a goal in mind, we can bet­ter focus our­selves and ulti­mately raise more money for a trip. Each indi­vid­ual within the GAA is respon­si­ble for pay­ing their way for the trip and my goal is to help as much as I can. This is a group effort, if we each do our own part we can make the GAA a great RSO.

This site is pretty rad­i­cal. Not only does it fea­ture beau­ti­ful design, it helps keep the print indus­try alive.

The next time some­one tell you print is dead, just guide them to the near­est gro­cery store.

Hey every­body, if you’re in need of an intern­ship this sum­mer it’s never too early to start look­ing. The GAA has many con­nec­tions with peo­ple in the indus­try, and ways to help you land the intern­ship you want.
