Fall Trip Itinerary
- Here is our itinerary for our Fall Trip. We will be going around 1000 miles from Thursday through Sunday. Here is a break down of the 1000 miles:
I hope everyone is having a Great summer… Time is flying! Hope the internships/jobs are going well and I get to hang out with everyone soon! We should try planning a camping trip or something like Michigan Adventures/Cedar Point! Leave a comment on what you think or get hold of me!
The Graphic Arts Association will sponsor a “going away party” for Mr. Williams, Mr. Smith, and Mr. Papo on Tuesday, April 26 from 11AM to 12PM in SWAN 218.
We will have three big cards available in the GAA office from Monday to Tuesday at 10:00AM. Please take the time to sign it and put a thought or two about the professor, as they have done a number of different things for both the printing program and the students.
There will be FREE PIZZA AND CAKE provided.
For this reason, there will not be a general meeting on Tuesday, April 26.
If you have any questions or comments, please email me at president@gaafsu.com
The composite photo session will be on April 5th from 11:30AM – 3PM in RANKIN 155. Please wear business casual attire (no t-shirts with logos). THERE WILL BE A GENERAL MEETING, LASTING APPROXIMATELY 30 MINUTES.
If you are interested in being a photographer for the session, please sign up on the GAA office door. We also need people to retouch photos at a later date.
If you have any questions or comments, or can’t make the times listed, please contact me at president@gaafsu.com
I wanted to bring to everyone’s attention that we will be discussing an important topic regarding the inclusion of the Graphic Design students into the Association. I strongly urge all to attend and make your opinions heard. We will welcome and encourage all ideas!
Sorry for the inconvenience, but the resume workshop that was scheduled for tonight is cancelled due to weather conditions. Please make it home safely!
As we announced at the meeting, the t-shirts have been finalized. If you want to order one, the sign up sheet is on the GAA door, or you can go here to fill out the form online and pay via Paypal. The price is still $13 for S-L, $15 for 2XL, and $16 for 3XL.
Please be advised that we have changed the design considerably at the last committee meeting. The mockup is below.
Due to some difficulties with the design, we are modifying the way the t-shirt looks in terms of the colors and position of the logo. The shirt will still be a one-sided design, as the general assembly voted for. We will be changing some of the ink colors, as the CMYK colors either conflict with each other or do not match. Chris has showed us an ink chart for the company, and the magenta would not look like magenta at all.
The design is still in the bottom left corner, one-sided. Same design, different colors.
For these reasons, we will be finalizing the t-shirt this Thursday at the committee meeting. If you want to help or give suggestions, I strongly recommend you be there.
Below is the ink chart…
If you have NOT filled out the paper form for ordering T-Shirts and you want to get one then you need to fill out this form. All payments are due by Tuesday March 1st and can be given either in person to Nanette, or through the PayPal button below.

The trip will be from April 1 – 3, 2011. We will be leaving Friday morning (time TBA), and returning Sunday night. The mode of transportation is two vans. Depending on Chicago traffic, the trip should be around 6 hours. We will be staying at Days Inn in Wauwatosa, which is close to all the plants and Milwaukee.
As of right now, the estimated cost of the trip is $120 per person. This is budgeted for 12 people, so the cost may change depending on the amount of people that attend.
If you sold cookie dough, all the money that you raised will go towards the spring trip.
A reminder that a $20 deposit is due tomorrow, February 22 for the trip. This will be non-refundable.
Friday: Tour three Quad/Graphics plants. They are the Hartford CR/T, Hartford, and the Sussex Headquarters. We will make dinner arrangements, possibly with alumni.
Saturday: Free day at Milwaukee
Sunday: Leave to go to Big Rapids.
